Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

Brussels sprouts, nubs cut off and cut in half lengthwise

Olive oil

Salt

Pepper

Directions

I usually line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise (or buy them that way) and put in a mixing bowl. Add olive oil and salt. Some can add black pepper later if others don’t like it. Toss to coat all the sprouts. Pour them out onto the baking sheet and spread them evenly, giving each sprout some space. This is key for a well browned end result. Turn them cut side down onto the sheet. 

Bake in the oven for 10 min, then stir the sprouts around with tongs, spread them out again and bake for another 10-15 min. They should be well browned and some of the loose leaves will be dark and crispy, which is the best part! They’re like brussels sprout chips. So good!
