Raspberry Matcha Smoothie

Ingredients

Raspberry Layer

3/4 cup coconut milk

1/3 cup water

1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

Handful of raw cashews

6 ice cubes (or enough to make the mixture thick)

 

Matcha Layer

3/4 cup coconut milk

1/3 cup water

1 teaspoon matcha powder

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

Handful of raw cashews

6 ice cubes (or enough to make the mixture thick) 

Directions

  1. Blend the ingredients for the raspberry layer and pour into 2 glasses

  2. Rinse the blender and blend the ingredients for the matcha layer and pour over the raspberry layer in each glass. *Tip - both of the smoothie layers should be about the same thickness, otherwise they will combine. If anything, make sure the bottom layer is thicker than the top layer

  3. Top the smoothie with unsweetened coconut shavings if desired
