Clean Green Salad

Wash all greens & herbs.


2 Servings


1 head romaine lettuce

2 handfuls baby spinach

2 Tbl. cilantro, de-stemmed

2 Tbl. flat leaf parsley, de-stemmed

1 avocado

1 tsp. nutritional yeast

1/4 sheet nori seaweed

For the dressing:

1 Tbl. olive oil

2 capfuls apple cider vinegar

salt & pepper to taste


After cutting off the bottom nub of your romaine head and washing it, chop into bite size pieces. Place in a large mixing bowl along with spinach, parsley and cilantro. Pour on the dressing ingredients and toss the salad together. Serve onto 2 medium plates and top each salad with cubed avocado, scissor cut strips of nori, nutritional yeast and more black pepper for garnish.


This is absolutely my favorite, easiest, fastest salad to make that is also amazingly delicious, nutritious and satisfying. It's perfect for a summer day or a detox. This recipe is adapted from the Food Matters detox salad. Enjoy!
