50/50 Bar Smoothie

My husband made this smoothie the other night for dessert. That's right, a healthy breakfast blended drink for dessert. At night! It was heaven and I know you're going to love it too. Vanilla, creamy goodness and in-season oranges (if it's March, use blood oranges).


2 servings


1 banana

2 capfuls vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups Homemade Almond Milk or dairy free milk of choice

2 dates, pitted

1-2 blood oranges, peeled and seeded

ice (optional)


Starting with the liquids and lighter ingredients, add everything to the blender. Blend well until smooth and the dates have been sufficiently pulvarized, unless of course, you like to chew your smoothies.


As I said, enjoy this treat for dessert OR breakfast. Either way, you'll be energized, delighted and satisfied. Sweet tooth, be gone!
